It’s scary how the missing persons’ cases is on the rise in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, with fewer successes recorded in the number of individuals recovered after launching a thorough search warrant.
However, the authorities and private bodies all involved in the sanitization of corrupt government officials and criminal organisations that have saddled themselves with the task of stealing and trafficking human beings, are overwhelmed by fewer resources and manpower.
Reality TV/Radio magazine programme like the Brekete Family Show dedicated Saturdays to treating cases of missing persons in FCT and every other part of Nigeria.
On Saturday, 27, 2022, people from every part of the country visited the Human Rights Radio in Abuja to lay complaints regarding persons that have gone missing for days, weeks and even years, consecutively.
The truth about the whole incidents is it’s hard to keep count of the number of people` that have gone missing, abducted, killed or voluntarily ran off based on unknown circumstances.
Clearly, according to some experts, the security agencies saddled with the responsibility of searching for missing persons are crippled by the reality of the country’s limitations and unwillingness of the staff to risk their lives in delivering on their duties.
