The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has explained why the pigeons’ released during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration refused to fly.
According to Adesina’s article, he described the pigeons’ refusal to fly as a natural phenomenon, adding that the pigeons were kept in a cage for long.
He stressed that birds get accustomed to their new status as lawful captives when circumscribed for a while.
The Presidential aide further explained that President Buhari opened the cage that held the pigeons, and they took to the sky within three minutes.
Why Pigeons Refused To Fly

Adesina, in the article titled Reflection from a wreath-laying ceremony also accused some people of twisting his words to generate hatred.
He opined that what President Buhari did during the recent Armed Forces Remembrance Day was not different from what past presidents have done during such occasion.
