Nigerian singer Adekunle Kosoko popularly known as Adekunle Gold and Simi, has requested a refund of their marriage expenses from the Ikoyi Registry after marriage was declared illegal and invalid.
Earlier today, a Federal High Court in Lagos declared that all Marriages conducted at the Ikoyi Registry are Illegal and invalid.
The court added that only Local Government marriage registries are constituted to hold and issue a marriage certificate.
This development has seen reactions, with many marriages held at the registry are on the verge of being nullified.
Adekunle Gold Wants Marriage Refund
Adekunle Gold and the wife Simi took to their Twitter page to react to these court rulings, with Simi insinuating that it means she and the husband have been fornicating.
Adekunle replied to her tweet, asking that he only wanted a refund from the Ikoyi registry.
The power couple got married at the Ikoyi registry in January 2019 and gave birth to their daughter Adejare in 2020.
