An auto crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Friday, October 30 has reportedly claimed three lives.
According to the report confirmed to newsmen by the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, the accident happened between two vehicles after one of the vehicles lost its brakes.
The accident happened at Lotto, opposite NNPC Filling Station, between an Iveco truck with registration number AAB 458 ZY and a Mazda bus marked XY 660 EKY.
Mr Olusola Ojuoro, the Mowe/Ibafo Area Commander of TRACE, confirmed to newsmen in Ota, Ogun State that the accident happened at about 8.45 a.m, adding that one person sustained injuries in the accident while three others died.
Ojuoro urged motorists and truck drivers against exceeding speed limits. He further admonished them to ensure that their vehicles were in good condition before plying on the roads to avoid unnecessary loss of lives.
The TRACE official sympathised with the families of those that lost their lives and prayed to God to grant them the fortitude to bear the losses.
According to him, the bodies of the dead were deposited at Idera Hospital morgue, Ogun. The survivor was taken by a relative to an undisclosed hospital.
