Loyal officers to Abba Kyari, former Deputy Commissioner of Police and onetime Nigeria’s super cop will be suffering a similar fate as their colleague for indulging in activities of the recent big drug syndicate in the police force.
Treating the incident, the Police Service Commission, PSC, carried out the required steps by suspending the operations of Kyari’s Intelligence Response Team, IRT.
Those affected by the Commission’s sanctions Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Sunday Ubua and Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, James Bawa.
PSC hinted that they are no longer active and have been relieved from the exercise of the powers and functions of their respective offices with effect from Valentine’s Day, February 14.
The Commission gathered that the aforementioned uniform personnel, two of them, subjected themselves to duties with the suspended DCP Kyari, conducting functions of IRT’s Force Investigation and Intelligence Department of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF.
