African Action Congress, AAC Presidential Primaries kicked off without interruption as Omoyele Sowore, the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, emerged as the Presidential Candidate to lead the contest against other mainstream political parties come 2023 general elections.
The Human Rights Activist won smoothely as he contest was unopposed by other party members that unanimously agreed to allow him have the party’s ticket.
The AAC’s National Convention was held in Abuja on Thursday, and monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, alongside every other party member.

It was gathered that in order to get to participate constitutionally in the just concluded AAC primaries, Sowore had to step down first as the party Chairman, which he did before clinching the ticket.
Nonetheless, the newly elected flag bearer who made this known during the party’s convention, noted that the process of stabilising the party would commence before the convention to elect another chairman.
He stated that the other parties have elected their own “thieves”, stressing AAC must elect its own “police”.
