In its constant swirling, the rumour mill recently carried rumours that former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan Ebele, had quite astonishingly defected to rival party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Goodluck Jonathan debunks viral rumours
The former Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State has proceeded to debunk the rumours that have spread all over and has made it clear that he is not defecting to the APC as the reports have claimed. He reaffirmed his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Jonathan was speaking at the victory service of the Bayelsa State Governor, and he described the PDP as “a friend that carries people along.”
Goodluck Jonathan began to be linked to the APC after he received and hosted some chieftains of the ruling party. The rumours had it that he would try to vie for Presidency in 2023 as a member of the APC.
Before Jonathan came out to debunk these claims, the interim Caretaker Committee Chairman of the APC, Mai Mala Buni, swiftly denied the claims.
