Atiku receives COVID-19 vaccine in Dubai
Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President of Nigeria, has received the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
He has joined an exclusive list of some of the few prominent people in the world who have been able to access the vaccine.
His vaccination was confirmed by his media aide, Paul Ibe, who ratified pictures of Atiku receiving the vaccine shared by Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu on Twitter.

EveryEvery.ng had reported that the Federal Government had set January 2021 as the target for Nigeria to get access to the vaccine.
Also, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has disclosed that Nigeria hopes to purchase 42 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine soon, through the global COVAX scheme.
He noted that the initial dose was part of Nigeria’s plan to safeguard 40 per cent of the population in 2021.
Minister of health, Osagie Ehanire, said a technical working group was working on which vaccine would be suited to Nigeria, considering that the country has no possession of -80 degrees freezers.
