The Presidency has on Thursday revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari will address Nigerians on Friday, January 1, 2021.
According to Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on media, the President’s New Year broadcast will commence at 7 am.
Shehu, however, enjoined Television, radio, and other electronic media outlets to join the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively, for the broadcast.
Buhari To Address Nigerians
President Buhari, who had earlier on Thursday signed the 2021 appropriation bill into law later met with Former Vice President, Arch. Namadi Sambo, at the State House.
Speaking during the meeting with Sambo, who is also Leader of the Electoral Observation Mission to the Niger Republic, Buhari opined that President Issoufou deserved to be congratulated on how he conducted the elections in the country.
Meanwhile, Buhari expressed regrets over reported incidents of violence in some other countries in the sub-region.
In a statement issued by the Presidency, President Buhari also praised the work of the ECOWAS Mission to the Niger Republic under Architect Sambo, describing it as very impressive.
