Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has imposed a 24 hour curfew on the state with immediate effect from 4pm of October 20, 2020.
The governor made the announcement on his official Twitter handle, Babajide Sanwo-Olu@jidesanwoolu
I, therefore, hereby impose a 24-hour curfew on all parts of the State as from 4pm today, 20th October,2020. Nobody, except essential service providers and first responders must be found on the streets.”
The curfew announcement is coming minutes after a police station in orile area of the state was set ablaze by some suspected hoodlums. Report has it that a policeman shot at tow boys, with news that one of the boys was killed on the spot while the second currently fights for his life.
