Kiki Mordi Accuses D’banj Of Emotional Blackmail
Popular Nigerian investigative journalist, Kiki Mordi has called out singer Dbanj for constantly blackmailing Nigerians using the unfortunate incident of his dead child.
Recall that on June 25 2019, the pop singer lost his son, Daniel Oyebanjo III in a devastating domestic accident where the toddler fell into their indoor pool and drowned.
D’banj decided to lend his voice to the recent happenings in Nigeria by making a tweet where he advises Nigerians to keep up with the fight against SARS because we all deserve to live a better life. He also sent his condolences for the deceased and said that he can relate to the parents and families who have lost a loved one to police brutality because he recently lost his one-year-old son.
Responding to this tweet, Kiki Mordi wrote,
“Every day you use your child to emotionally blackmail Nigerians. You’re very scary,”
The two have a backlog of bad blood stemming from the recent controversy where D’banj was accused of raping a young lady, Seyitan . Kiki was at the forefront of Seyitan’s defence and went ahead to lambast D’banj after she alleged that he used the police to intimidate the rape victim.
