The Department of State Services (DSS) has denied reports that it invited Mavins Boss, Don Jazzy and Music diva, Tiwa Savage for questioning over political utterances against President Muhammadu Buhari.
Don Jazzy & Tiwa Savage were said to be taken in by DSS by various media outlets over their political utterances on their social media pages.
Tiwa Savage ran a campaign on her Twitter page with the hashtag #WeAreTired against rape and other displeasure about the current administration. Don Jazzy has also been vocal about bad governance and other issues plaguing the society.
Both artists were reported to have tone down their activism on their social media pages as they were warned to be careful with their posts.
This alleged invitation has now been denied by the spokesman for DSS, Peter Afunanya said, ”We did not invite any musician”.
Music executive, Don Jazzy took to his Twitter page to mock the news of his alleged interrogation with a short video post and he jokingly asked, ”what is quizzes?” in reaction to the headline on media outlets.
Singers, Yemi Alade and Waje were also reported to be taken in at some point by the DSS concerning their activism on social media pages.
The music artists involved are yet to confirm or deny the arrest story as at this time of report.
