Nigerian singer, Lyta, with the real name Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim has joined Marlian music, a record label owned by music artist, Naira Marley.
The singer made his name after he was picked up by YBNL Nation record label boss, Olamide in 2018. The sonorous singer left the record label after having a disagreement in 2019.
He became a new addition to Marlian Music founded by Naira Marley in January 2020. The label was launched with the signing of four artistes- Zinoleesky, Mohbad, Cblack, and Fabian during a massive concert themed ‘Marlian Fest’ in Lagos.
Naira Marley, who used Lyta belonging to YBNL in the lyrics of one of his popular songs has now signed him to his record label, Marlian Music.
Marley took to his Twitter page to share a picture of Lyta with a document that appears to be a record deal, with the caption: ‘‘Welcome to Marlian Music Lyta”
The excited Lyta has reacted to the latest development via his Twitter page. He wrote ‘‘I’m so excited to be joining my new family Marlian Music, thank you my President @nairamarley for giving me this amazing opportunity”
The singer once gave the reason for leaving Olamide’s YBNL. He said he was given a music release calendar which was inconsistent with how often he intended dropping new songs although he gave credits to the YBNL boss for his development.
