Coronavirus and Oyo State
The Oyo State Government has sealed a factory located in the state after thirty of its workers were confirmed positive for Coronavirus.
While giving details of the newly confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in the state, Governor Seyi Makinde said the 30 factory workers are part of the 31 cases detected in the state recently.
Makinde did not give further details on the said factory but said the factory located in the South Western part of Ibadan the state capital would be decontaminated to avoid possible spread of the virus from the building.
He also called for calm in the state, assuring the state residents that adequate and timely contact racing would be done to identify those who have come in co tact with the 30 factory workers who are victims of the Coronavirus.
He also added that the remaining one case of the 31 new cases is from Egbeda local government area of the state.
Governor Makinde urged the state residents who might have come in contact with a confirmed Coronavirus victim, those with associated symptoms of the virus and healthcare workers who have come in contact with the high risk groups to contact the state Emergency Operations Centre through the following numbers, 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800, for the ongoing drive-through/walk-through testing at Adamasingba Stadium.
