There are more and more signs that the CoronaVirus outbreak around the world is escalating into the worst health crisis in recent times. The decision of the federal and state health officials around the world is to test more people with symptoms and try to curb the spread of the virus. Also, there are ongoing campaigns to inform the public about the risk and to quarantine the sick, institute the social distance initiative.
Meanwhile, as efforts are going on to curb this pandemic, some news and blog outlets are peddling a dangerous conspiracy theory about the origin of this health crisis. The three main versions of the rumor have one thing in common; that the coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, originated in a level 4 (the highest biosafety level) research laboratory in Wuhan(China)
Version one, the virus was engineered in a lab by Chinese as a bioweapon. In the second version, the virus was being studied in a lab after being extracted from animals but it leaked and escaped from the lap because of poor safety protocol. The third one will be made known as the article goes on.
One thing is true in all these rumours…The Wuhan Institute of Virology is a real place, and the exact origin of the novel coronavirus is still a mystery, with researchers racing since the outbreak began to figure it out.
Before we say the third and most recent rumor, we have to understand that virologists who’ve parsed the genome and infectious disease experts who study coronaviruses say they have enough evidence the virus is brand new and come from nature. So why is the third rumor gaining ground? Why is this one so believable.
A video has surfaced about a movie in Korea called “My Secret Terrius” on Netflix. It has portrayed the third rumor in a factual light. Which is, that this virus is a ploy by the Chinese government in world economic domination.
It seems far fetched until you watch episode 10 of this movie.
