CBN governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele has projected that Nigeria will experience an increased GDP in 2019. The projected increase is expected to be 3% as against 1.93% in 2018.
He stated this while delivering a keynote address at the BusinessDay Post-Election Economic Agenda conference held in Lagos. He said that the apex bank will maintain its tight monetary policy stance and stable exchange rate throughout the year.
Mr. Godwin Emefiele, CBN expressed optimism regarding the nation’s balance of payment. He hopes that it will remain positive in the short term. There is also hopes that it will improve further if oil prices continue to recover.
