Nigerian music video director TG Omori, popularly known as Boy Director, has stirred conversations online after lamenting the unbearable cost of healthcare in the country.
In a post shared on X, Omori disclosed that his personal medical expenses for just six months were so overwhelming that they could buy two Mercedes Benz GLEs and a smaller C300. His revelation left many stunned, as he summed up the reality with the words, “health is wealth true true.”

The director, who is renowned for his award-winning visuals in Nigeria’s music industry, went further to highlight the grim reality faced by average Nigerians. He noted that a single dialysis session costs over ₦100,000, with some patients requiring the procedure up to three times weekly an impossible burden in a country where the national minimum wage stands at just ₦70,000.
Omori admitted the situation left him in tears while at the hospital, stressing that for millions of Nigerians struggling to survive, access to adequate healthcare is nearly impossible.
“There’s no hope for the common man,” he wrote, echoing the frustration of many who have long decried the rising cost of medical treatment in Nigeria.
His candid admission has since sparked heated debates about the country’s failing healthcare system, with many calling for urgent reforms to make life-saving treatments affordable and accessible to all.
