Renowned music producer Samklef has finally broken his silence amid rising tensions and swirling allegations over his role in the pursuit of justice for late singer Mohbad. In a candid and emotionally charged video, Samklef dismissed claims that social media activist Verydarkman paid N20 million for leaked information tied to the controversial celebrity group chat linked to Mohbad’s death.

Setting the record straight, Samklef clarified that the now-viral chat wasn’t hacked or sold, but was leaked by someone within the group itself.
“Verydarkman did not pay anybody 20 million to get information,” Samklef stated. “The leak came from someone who was inside the group.”
Beyond debunking the claim, Samklef revealed his growing frustration with the music industry and Mohbad’s own family, lamenting the lack of appreciation for his vocal stance on the case.
“If Mohbad’s father is quiet, why should I be fighting? I don’t have any personal interest in this case. Why should I be crying more than the bereaved?” he asked pointedly.
The producer, who was among the earliest voices demanding accountability following the singer’s tragic death, shared how his efforts have been met with insults, isolation, and accusations especially from those he expected solidarity from within the entertainment space.
“Even the judiciary said Naira Marley and Sam Larry are free. Did you see me online ranting? The whole industry ganged up against me,” he added.
Urging a halt to the ongoing battles and blame games, Samklef appealed to the public and stakeholders to cease fire, stressing that revenge and online wars would do little to bring peace to Mohbad’s troubled legacy especially as the late singer remains unburied.
“My brothers, revenge is not a solution… Mohbad’s soul is not at rest.”
As emotions continue to run high, Samklef’s blunt message serves as a sobering reminder of how a fight for justice can become deeply personal and painfully isolating.
