Over the just concluded Presidential Election, Nigeria’s past President, Goodluck Jonathan, is advocating that Nigerians maintain peace and orderliness and accept their new fate.
In Abuja, the former President on Tuesday night led a delegation of the Election Monitoring Team of the Economic Community of West African States to visit the residence of the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
Goodluck Jonathan and the led team reportedly appealed for calm and advised that the electoral umpire, that is the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, should also make frantic spirited attempts to address some concerns that have so far been raised by all election stakeholders.
It would be noted that Former President Jonathan was joined by the former President of Ghana, John Mahama; ex-Governor Kayode Fayemi, and other reputable personalities.
Recall that in 2015 when the former President lost his seat to President Muhammadu Buhari, he immediately called to congratulate him and made a remarkable statement that his ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian citizen.
To date, former President Jonathan is known as a man of peace globally and has received multiple awards and recognitions for that single action.
