A private Christian institution of learning in Nigeria, Covenant University, has been in the news for the wrong reasons after allegations of sexual molestation surfaced on social media.
On Monday, an Instagram user took to her page to share a screenshot of the sexual molestation going on in the institution.
The handle @_.otitoo tagged many celebrities and social media influencers with the caption, “CU girls are being raped and nothing is being done about it.”
Another screenshot which surfaced alleged that some covenant university staff have been raping the female students of the institution, and a girl is currently in a coma after having an abortion by the head of the student disciplinary council.
This will be a big stain on the image of the institution which prides itself on morals if the allegations are found to be true.
Covenant University is yet to make a statement at the time of reporting.
