The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has stated that singer, Burna Boy, would be interrogated for his role in a Lagos Night club shooting.
Five Policemen attached to the ‘On the Low’ crooner, were reported to have shot soon-to-be couples, Irebami Lawrence and another identified as Tolu, at Club Cubana in Lagos on Wednesday.
The police officers have since been detained by the Lagos State Police Commissioner’s Special Squad for attempted murder.
Burna Boy Would Be Interrogated – Police
Addressing the incident on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a tweet, disclosed that 30-year-old would be interrogated to aid their investigation.
Responding to a tweet that read, “This has nothing to do with Burna Boy. The duty of the police guard to Burna Boy is to protect his life. So sir, forget what some Burna haters said about him. Please carry out our investigation with due diligence sir.”
Adejobi said, “Exactly what we will do. But there is no way the police would want to have a detailed investigation without interrogating Burna Boy. No way.
“So the level of involvement of everyone in the incident will determine his punishment or otherwise. We should not preempt what the report will reveal.”
