Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, recently stated reasons why it arrested the ex-Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, as the campaign to clamp down on corrupt government officials has taken a new turn.
Speaking on the issue, just as contained in a publication on the Agency’s Report, a trustworthy source from the anti-graft commission revealed that former Governor Yari was brought in because of his alleged affiliation in the N84 billion fraud case against Ahmed Idris, the former Accountant General of the Federation, AGF.
Furthermore, the source opened up that another arrest was made concerning the Chairman and Managing Director of Finex Professional, Mr. Anthony Yaro, due to his alleged involvement in their corrupt transactions.
