A 40-year-old Nigerian Army Officer, Sanusi Mohammad, has been appointed by Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammad, as the new Emir of Kaura-Namoda.
The appointment notice was contained in a statement released by a media aide to the Governor, Zailani Bappa.
According to the statement, Sanusi’s appointment was not the decision of the Governor but that of the traditional rulers of the community.
” His Excellency, Governor Bello Mohammed has approved the appointment of Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed as the new Emir of Kauan Namoda.
” The approval follows recommendation form the Kaura Namoda Traditional Council as enshrined in the selection procedure.”
The 40 years old will now succeed his late father, Mohammed Asha, who died last Sunday after a brief illness.
