Man kills his son with matchete.
A 35-Year-old man identified as Christian Alisigwe has been arrested for allegedly hacking his four year old son, Ebubechukwu Alisigwe.
Christian who hails from Ihita Azia, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra was arrested on Thursday July 9 by the State police officers attached to Azia for killing his son and burying him in a shallow grave in his compound.
This was diclosed in a statement by the Mohammed Haruna, the spokesperson of the Anambra state police command.
Police operatives went to the crime scene, exhumed the corpse and sent it to the Abam mortuary after which he was declared dead
A statement by the spokesperson of the state police command, Mohammed Haruna, said police operatives attached to Azia Police Station arrested Christian who allegedly used a cutlass to kill his biological son and buried the corpse in a shallow grave at his compound.
The police spokesperson said detectives visited the scene, exhumed the corpse, and deposited it at Abam mortuary for autopsy after it was certified dead by a medical doctor.
Haruna said Christian’s case has been transferred to State CID Awka for discreet investigation.
