A prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Bode George, has raised different allegations against a former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, who is reportedly nursing presidential ambition ahead of the 2023 elections.
Bode George, who is a former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, alleged that Tinubu does not have school certificates to tender to Nigerians. The PDP also accused Tinubu of receiving humongous amounts of money from the Lagos State government.
While reacting to a former Minister of Works, Adeseye Ogunlewe’s remark that Tinubu was the best person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, the PDP chieftain alleged that the APC National leader continues to steal a massive amount of money from Lagos state.
Ogunlewe had describedTinubu as the most qualified and mentally capable to take over power from Buhari.
Earlier, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission revealed that Tinubu is under investigation. The Chairman of the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, who had reportedly requested the asset declaration form of Tinubu when he was the head of Lagos zonal office, said an investigation does not end in a day.

Speaking on the petition filed against Tinubu by a former managing director of Alpha Beta, Bawa explained that petitions usually are investigated based on their merit by the petition vetting committees in all the EFCC zonal offices.
Bawa disclosed that the EFCC has lawyers and investigators who will review all petitions and advise, adding that investigations can take up to 40 years to complete.
