Two girls have been reported dead in various incidents that occurred almost simultaneously in Abia and Anambra States, respectively.
The first girl, a student of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, MOUAU, Umudike, was said to have been crushed to death by a truck.
Her name, Chidinma Ogbonna, was killed by a truck driver who allegedly lost control of his vehicle after the brakes failed to respond to his manoeuvres.
She reportedly died yesterday at night time in Umudike, where some students at the place of the accident, from the varsity, blamed the incident on bad roads in the state.

Girls: One Hit by Stray Bullet
Also, the second girl who died was a student of the College of Health Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, after suffering from a severe injury sustained from a stray bullet.
The late student, Chioma Mbionu, was a 300 level Medical Rehabilitation student at the varsity. The report confirmed that she met her untimely death following the activities of some assailants during the attack on security facilities in Nnewi yesterday.
A source alleged that some good samaritans rushed Chioma to the University Teaching Hospital Nnewi, where she later died since there was no doctor to tend to her wounds.
Meanwhile, the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, condemned the incident, urging the state to consider the safety of students in the region, that the deaths of the ladies is a major loss.
