Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM, has taken another swipe at rapper Zlatan Ibile amid growing speculation about a possible rift between the two personalities.
VDM recently criticised the singer over his wedding and latest music release, claiming that neither event attracted the level of attention he expected. His comments have since sparked conversations online, with fans trying to understand the tension between both men.
In a post shared on social media, VDM alleged that Zlatan organised his wedding partly to promote his album, but claimed that both the wedding publicity and the music failed to make the expected impact.
He also questioned the engagement generated by blogs that covered the wedding, pointing out that, according to him, none of the posts attracted up to 5,000 comments.
VDM further expressed his desire to see Zlatan’s latest song remain at the number one position on Apple Music for an entire month, saying he would be disappointed if it failed to achieve that milestone.
The activist’s comments came after listeners began speculating that Zlatan had taken a swipe at him in a new song titled INFERNO, featuring Peruzzi and Shoday.
Some listeners linked a line in the song mentioning the name Vincent to VDM, whose first name is Vincent. However, Zlatan has not publicly confirmed that the lyric was directed at the activist.
The reported tension comes against the background of earlier disagreements between the pair following the death of singer Mohbad.
Neither the latest comments nor the song has confirmed the full nature of their relationship, but the exchange has drawn fresh attention from fans online.
