DORIS OGALA SPEAKS OUT AS HER LEGAL BATTLE TAKES A NEW TURN

Share

Nollywood actress and Abia State governorship candidate Doris Ogala has made fresh allegations against several prominent religious leaders following a court order that sent her to a correctional centre in Lagos.

Ogala accused Pastors Chris Okafor, Jerry Eze and Johnson Suleman of being responsible for her remand, claiming they were afraid of secrets she allegedly knew about them. She also accused Abia State Governor Alex Otti of being involved, alleging that the situation was intended to frustrate her political ambition ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

In posts shared on social media, the actress insisted that the people she named wanted to silence her because of what she might reveal. However, she did not provide publicly verified evidence to support the accusations, and the named individuals had not publicly responded to the claims in the reports reviewed.

The development followed a legal dispute between Ogala and Pastor Chris Okafor. On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, a Federal High Court in Lagos ordered her remand at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre pending the hearing of her bail application.

She is facing charges linked to alleged cyberbullying, cyberstalking, the publication of private materials and attempted extortion. Ogala pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The case reportedly began after a disagreement between the actress and the cleric became public in December 2025.

Ogala has described her situation as an attempt to use the law against her. However, her allegations against the religious leaders and governor remain unproven, and the court case is still ongoing.

The court has scheduled a hearing on her bail application for October 30, 2026, as the legal battle continues to attract public attention.
