President Muhammadu Buhari‘s son, Yusuf Buhari, has bagged a top traditional title as Talban Daura in Katsina State. The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, reportedly conferred the title on him.
Talban Daura is said to be a top traditional title in the Daura Emirate of Katsina state. Yusuf, who is set to marry, was honoured at a turbaning ceremony held at the palace of the Emir on Tuesday, July 20.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, shared a photo with the new Yusuf dressed in traditional royal robes and a sword.
Yusuf Buhari bagged a Master’s Degree in the United Kingdom in July 2016. He and his sister, Zahra, graduated from the University of Surrey, Guildford.
The President’s son completed his National Youth Service Corps in 2019, but the Presidency did not disclose his state of service and place of primary assignment.

Zahra, the daughter of Emir of Bichi in Kano State, is currently a student in the United Kingdom, studying architecture after graduating from the University of Surrey, Guildford, the United Kingdom, in 2016.
According to sources, the wedding ceremony would take place after Sallah’s holidays, noting that preparations are on top gear for the event.
The sources disclosed that the groom’s parents have met with the bride’s parents to express Yusuf’s interest in marrying Zahra.
You will recall that Yusuf and one of his friends, Bashir Gwandu, were injured along Gwarimpa road in Abuja while riding power bikes on December 26, 2017.
The Presidency flew him abroad for additional medical treatment and returned to Nigeria in February 2018.
