Yoruba Nation: Group Issues Ultimatum To Southerners

Share

In the wake of the declaration recently made by Yoruba activist Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, a Northern group has issued a 72 hours Ultimatum to Southerners living in the North to move from the region.

The group known as Arewa Youth Assembly asked Sunday Igboho to move Yoruba indigenes from the North within 72 hours.

According to the Speaker of the group, Mohammed Danlami, Nigeria’s constitution has made it clear that Nigerians can live in any part of the country, irrespective of their religious and tribal placements.

Danladi said Igboho has 72 hours to move his people out, or the group would take necessary actions by personally taking the responsibility of Yoruba indigenes back home.

The Northern group added that it would not fold its arm and watch innocent Nigerians being threatened by individuals who do not respect the law.

You will recall that Igboho had earlier declared what he called the Yoruba Nation, noting that the Southwest region is no longer part of Nigeria.
