Wayne Rooney’s Derby County to Play Manchester United in FA Cup 5th Round

Wayne Rooney helped his club moved to the FA Cup next stage through a converted penalty, the win means he is going to face United in the round. Rooney scored the fourth goal of the game from the penalty spot.

Derby county won the game last night 4-2 and sends them to the 5th round of the tournament after they played out a goalless in the first leg. They were able to take control of the game right from the first minute to the 90th minute of the game.

Wayne Rooney scored the Championship side’s fourth goal from the penalty spot in Tuesday’s fourth-round replay. It will be the first time that the United and England’s all-time top scorer will be playing against his former side since playing for Everton in a 2-0 defeat at Goodison in 2018.

The 34-year-old has made name for himself in both Manchester United and England. Derby county was the club that knock out Manchester United in their last outing which Manchester City later won. Wayne Rooney and his team has won four of their last eight games that he has played.

The match comes up 5th of March which is next month. The club president Cocu commenting on it said Rooney is prepared for it. Wayne Rooney joined the club earlier this season as a player coach and he has been very helpful. The 34-year-old is likely to retire at the end of the season.
