Veteran Singer Loses Only Child
Sad times as veteran singer loses only child after a prolonged battle with an uncommon medical condition.
The afro-jazz singer, Yinka Davies, has lost her only child and son, Jeremiah Oluwafunsho Oluwadayo Bankole who has been fighting a blood condition for almost a year. The young man was diagnosed with a blood vessel inflammation disease called the Wegner Granulomatosis.
Jeremiah was just days away from his 28th birthday but could not make it through as he gave up the ghost on the 29th of January, 2021 despite the doctors’ series medication and efforts to save his life.
The next day, Jeremiah was buried in a private ceremony attended by only close friends and family in Lagos state.
The singer shared the sad news on her Instagram page with a caption paying tribute to her late son and thanking those who stood by him in his last days.
Her post brought in an influx of condolences from her industry colleagues like Shan George, Shaffy Bello, Sammy Okposo and the likes.
