Nigerian visual artist, Ken Nwadiogbu
Ken Nwadiogbu: This young Nigerian is one of the best artistic hands Nigeria have got. Although he studied Civil Engineering, Ken has excelled as a multidisciplinary artist. He calls his method contemporealism – a fusion that is primarily centered around hyperrealism and contemporary artist. ‘Ken Art’ has received the ‘Future Africa Award’ (2019) & Outstanding Personalities of the Year (2019) by Vanguard. He uses art to paint weighty issues like gender equality, African cultures, global politics, Black power, and most recently knife-crime come to the conversation by way of his mind-boggling technique.
Oresegun Olumide: Nigerian visual artist, Oresegun Olumide made his name in 2016 after he had posted his work on Facebook. He is versed in the use of water as the theme of his work. Olumide’s work got Nigerians talking after he posted the oil and canvas painting on social media. The 39-year-old cites Pablo Picasso and Michelangelo Buonaroti as his role model.
Kareem Olamilekan: This young art prodigy came into limelight after he had drew the hyperrealistic portrait of Emmanuel Macron in 2 hours. The French President had visited Fela’s New Afrikan Shrine on the 3rd of July, 2018. The highly impressed President of France shared the video of the drawing via his Twitter page. Kareem in 2019 also won Taiwan’s 22nd Fervent Global Love of Lives Award.
