Sylvester Oromoni autopsy has had little or no effect in the case involving five suspected killers alleged to have a hand in the 12-year-old’s death.
It was reported that five of the students in custody that were facing murder charges from Dowen College had been granted bail for one million naira each.
It was also learnt that the suspects were only charged with conspiracy and homicide, adding that they were merely minors in the case that led to the deceased passing.
According to Justice Olatunbosun Adeola, Yaba Chief Magistrate, the defendants have been instructed to provide two sureties, each with the stipulated amount.
The Magistrate ordered that one of the defendants’ sureties must be their parent and must swear an affidavit of compliance in the court before their kids are considered the slated conditions.
She further held that their parents or guardians must submit the international passports of all the defendants to the court, adding that the prosecutor must verify their residence, keeping the suspects within 2km of their residence at all times.
Defence counsel, Miss Ifeoma Eson, Mr A.E. Amah, Mr Godwin Omoaka, SAN, Mr Eze Ajibo and Mr Micheal Ayinla were in court for the minors.
