Some Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly abducted a Cleric, Apostle Emmanuel Bako along with his wife, Cindy, and one other person in the Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
According to the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna, Samuel Aruwan, Bako, who is also the Chairman of the Pentecost Fellowship of Nigeria in the State was kidnapped on Christmas Day.
Aruwan explained that unidentified gunmen attacked the Albarka Praying Camp along the Afana-Fadan Kagoma-Kwoi Road and started shooting sporadically.
It was gathered that in the process of the sporadic shooting, a vehicle was hit by a bullet while Bako, his wife, and the other victim were taken away from the camp.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner stated that security operatives promptly arrived at the location and pursued the kidnappers who were, however, able to escape with the victims.
In the meantime, the PFN Chairman in Cross River State, Lawrence Ekwok has condemned the incident and called for the immediate release of Bako and his wife, as well as the other person abducted by the gunmen.
