Famous self-acclaimed Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has raised the alarm over what he described as a threat to his life and plans by men of the Nigerian Army to eliminate him.
Igboho, who raised the alarm through his spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, claimed that some soldiers invaded his Ibadan residence to arrest him and his supporters in the early hours of Monday.
In a live Facebook broadcast, Koiki claimed soldiers invaded Mr Igboho’s residence at around 2 am Monday as he lampooned federal and state authorities.
Mr Koiki revealed that the soldiers shot sporadically into the air during the invasion of Igboho’s residence.
EveryEvery.ng gathered that the military men came with weapons and were shooting sporadically to scare people away. Meanwhile, Koiki said they were repelled by security aides of Sunday Igboho, calling on every other activist to tighten security around themselves.
Koiki said Sunday Igboho would not be threatened or intimated by the Nigerian military. Meanwhile, the military is yet to react to the alleged invasion of Igboho’s residence.
