Struggling Watford Ends Liverpool’s Unbeaten Run in EPL Matchday 28

Watford finally broke the record to keep Arsenal as the only EPL team to go a whole season without defeat. Ismaila Sarr who is the record signing for the club scored twice in the second half before captain Troy Deeney added a third to nail the casket over Liverpool. Watford who are battling with relegation surprisingly thrash Liverpool in the EPL Matchday 28 encounter.

Before now the Reds had only draw one game and that was against their rival Manchester United which 1-1. The Reds had won their past 18 Premier League games and another at Vicarage Road would have made history as the longest winning run in the English top flight.

Watford superb performance won the game for them, all three goals came in the second 45 minutes of the game as they goalless in the first half. Watford has been doing since the appointment of their new manager Nigel Pearson, this victory means a lot to the team. The victory has taken them away from the relegation zone.

The Hornets did well to bounce back from 3-0 lost to Manchester United in their English Premier League game. They are now in the 16th position in the league table, they had more chances in the first half but Liverpool goalie was always there to save the ball. The first goal came in the Abdoulaye Doucoure squeezed cross which the man of the match Sarr finished well in the 54th minute of the game.

Just six minutes after the first goal he netted the second before Troy Deeney netted the third in the 72nd minute of the game. The three goals were enough to see them walk past Liverpool and spoil their record. it seems like the relagation teams are picking their forms as Norwich won Leicester City 1-0, while Bournemouth drew with Chelsea 2-2

Our season has been tough so far, with losing last week and not playing well, we were keen to get a response.”They are such an outstanding side, we had to get our performance right as close to max as possible and I thought we thoroughly deserved the win.
