It is a piece of sad news as Ivorian defender, Serge Aurier’s brother has been shot dead in France this morning.
Serge Aurier took part in the North London Derby yesterday as his team, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Arsenal 2-1 in a thrilling English Premier League match at White Hart Lane.
The right-back, who had a fair outing against the ‘Gunners‘ woke up to a piece of sad news as his brother, Christopher Aurier (26) was reportedly shot dead in Toulouse, France at around 05:00 this morning, according to Le Point & Europe 1.
Christopher was shot in the same city his brother played (Toulouse) for years ago. Serge played for Lens, Toulouse and Paris Saint-Germain before moving to England.
The older Aurier is the current captain of the Ivorian national team. He left Ivory Coast for France as a child with his family.
