Nigerian fast-rising afro-fusion musician Daniel Benson popularly known as Buju has announced a change to his stage name.
The singer took to his social media page to announce the new development after revealing he was being mistaken for a Jamaican artist ‘Buju Banton’.
Benson shared a video where he was reading a letter telling him to find another name because he is not Jamaican.
He further revealed while writing some of the lyrics to the video theme song that he now wants to be referred to as ‘BNXN‘ pronounced Benson.
The 24-year-old singer was born in Gbagada Lagos, signed to the record label ‘To Your Ears Entertainment’ and has two albums to his name ‘Sorry I’m Late and 24hrs in Lagos City’.
