Former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, 70 has died of Coronavirus at a private hospital in Lagos State.
The Senator is believed to have been in a coma at the popular First Cardiology Hospital in Ikoyi, Lagos State due to complications that rose from his battle with coronavirus. He was reportedly placed on a life support machine from then till his death today Thursday 25th June 2020.
He became a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2003, serving as the deputy minority leader. He was governor of Oyo State from May 2011 to May 2019, serving as governor for two tenures.
