Fast-rising Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable in a new video has come out to boast that he founded a Crime Gang that terrorised the good people of Lagos state during the lockdown in 2020. The Zaazu singer, Portable, has boasted about being the founder of some cult groups, One Million Boys and Ajah Boys, which terrorised residents of different areas of Lagos during the lockdown.
In the now-deleted video, the street music star said in Yoruba, “Open your ears and hear me, you’ve heard about Ajah Boys, One Million Boys, I’m their founder.” Portable has been bashed for campaigning for the All Progressives Congress candidate in the last Osun governorship election, Governor Gboyega Oyetola. In the campaign, the singer pulled his trousers down and faced his butt to the face of the statue of Obafemi Awolowo who is a Yoruba legend.
Man people criticized him and she is even saying Obi Cubana who made him an ambassador of his Odogwu Bitters drink should strip him of the ambassador deal. Concerning the campaign, he said he was merely doing the job he was paid for.
Portable’s story is gradually going from grace to grass as the singer has been lashed at many after he accused Burna Boy of stealing his style and insulting Davido for unfollowing him on Twitter. The Nigerian Police force is yet to send him an invite but the robbery that happened in Lagos during the lockdown was one that had many people lose their valuables and little arrest was made at that time.
Some victims and residents who spoke on condition of anonymity described the group then as a thorn in the flesh. They stressed that until the police came to their rescue, the ‘boys’ had literally become kings of the jungle.
These ‘one million boys’ were doing whatever they liked in this community unchallenged. If they want to raid any street, they will first write a letter and send it through a small boy to the head of that street that they are coming and they will come as planned. And when they come, they would rob from one building to another, raping girls and women; even married women.
Now that he has revealed that he is behind the whole robbery it is almost certain he will soon be invited by the police no wonder many said he will last up to five years in the music industry where he claims he will be bigger than the likes of Davido and other top celebrities.
