Former Manchester United player Patrice Evra has criticised Arsenal after their lose against Burnley. It was their fifth home lost in the English Premier League 2020/21 season.
Patrice Evra also blasted Granit Xhaka who received a red card in the game, he further revealed a secret of former Arsenal player Thierry Henry. He said there was a day Henry invited him to his house to watch Arsenal game as they were about to start Henry saw Xhaka wearing the Arsenal captain hand band, immediately he turned off the television saying he can’t watch Arsenal playing while Xhaka is the captain.
Patrice Evra also said: ”I feel sad for the Arsenal fans but not for the Arsenal players. They deserve to be where they are.” “Their religion doesn’t allow them to score goals and when you don’t score you don’t win, but I would focus more on their attitude. Before it was Pepe and today it was Xhaka.”
“There is a lack of discipline about Arsenal and Arteta must be fuming right now.” The former Manchester and West Ham United player singled out Xhaka, who he believes has now lost the support of even his own fans for a succession of incidents.
He said: “We criticised Pepe so much [when he got sent off] but Xhaka is not the first time.” “I remember even two years ago, I made a comment about Arsenal saying ‘They still look like babies’ and he came out [and said] ‘Patrice Evra, it is not the first time he spoke about us’.
His comment on Thierry Henry and Xhaka has been raising concerns on social media since he made the comment, the former Arsenal man has not said anything yet about the comment though. For now Arsenal is going down down by every game.
They recorded their fifth home lose in the 2020/21 English Premier League season after twelve games played. They are now in the 15th place position with 13 points.
