Ahead of the October 10, 2020 governorship elections in Ondo State, the All Progressives Congress, APC has conducted its primary election to elect the party’s flagbearer.
The incumbent governor in the state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu won the indirect primary elections conducted by the APC on Monday, July 20, 2020.
During the primary election which took place at Dove Centre in Akure, Akeredolu won in all the local government areas of the state, defeating seven other aspirants.
The governor, who earlier told journalists that God would make all plans for him to be victorious at the end of the poll added that he had no complaints about the primary.
You will recall that four aspirants vying for the APC ticket in the state had announced their decision to step down for Akeredolu, the aspirants are Ife Oyedele, Olusegun Abraham, Jimi Odimayo and Nathaniel Adojutelegan.
