European giants AC Milan and Manchester United are in the hunt for Nigerian superstar and former AS Roma forward Umar Sadiq, as the league sets to resume and summer transfer window draws nearer and nearer. Sadiq Umar left Serie A side AS Roma to join Serbian Super Liga side Partizan Belgrade on a permanent deal from in January at a fee of around €15m by the club.
The 23-year-old has also been linked with a move to Turkish Super Lig clubs Fenerbahce and Besiktas, after his impressive form with Serbian club, he has scored 12 goals and bagged 13 assists for Partizan Belgrade this season. According to reports both AC Milan and Manchester United scouts were in attendance in Wednesday’s Serbian Cup semi-final clash where the Nigerian superstar provided the assist the Partizan’s 1-0 win against local rivals Red Star Belgrade.
Also, some other clubs scouts were there to watch the Nigerian superstar, the likes of Valencia, CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow scouts were there. Sadiq Umar once had stints with NAC Breda, Torino and Glasgow Rangers. The player however not said anything about the rumored transfer but we do believe the striker will be happy to play for either of the teams coming for him.
