The rapper made the call during an X Takeover event at Tesla’s Giga Texas facility in Austin, United States. She explained that her Nigerian pastor had given her a personal connection to the country, alongside her many Nigerian fans, popularly known as Barbz.

Minaj said reports about the treatment of Christians in Nigeria had deeply troubled her. She questioned why more famous people were not using their platforms to draw attention to the situation.

According to the rapper, some people avoid discussing serious issues because they are not considered popular topics. She hopes more entertainers and influencers will join the conversation and help raise awareness about the violence.

Minaj also expressed her willingness to continue supporting efforts to protect Christians and promote religious freedom.

Her comments have brought renewed attention to the security challenges facing communities in Nigeria. The country has experienced attacks, kidnappings and other forms of violence in different regions, affecting people of different religious backgrounds.

While Minaj has focused on concerns about Christians, Nigeria’s security situation remains complex, with various communities suffering from violent attacks.

Her appeal has added to the ongoing international conversation about religious freedom and the need to protect people from violence because of their beliefs.

The rapper hopes more influential voices will join the cause and encourage greater attention to the safety of vulnerable communities in Nigeria.
