Napoli Targets 2 Nigerian Strikers to Replace Milik

As the deal to bring Nigerian point man Victor Oshimhen seems unrealistic, Napoli has turned their attention to another Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis. Victor Osimhen rejected a move to the Italian Seria A side despite concrete talks with his French club Lille. The Nigerian is eyeing an English Premier League move and many clubs are already coming for him.

Napoli has turned their attention to Emmanuel Dennis who starred for Club Brugge in the Belgian Pro League last season. Emmanuel Dennis was the star man in the Champions League group stage game which ended 2-2 with Real Madrid where he scored the two goals. The 22-year-old scored a total of nine goals in 33 appearances for Club Brugge.

He also scored against Manchester United in their 1-1 draw in the Europa League after they were knocked out of the Uefa Champions League. Napoli had earlier contacted Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen but he turned them down after his market value was dropped by his club to help in his transfer. Lille are looking to sell the talented striker as they seek to balance the books for next season.

Napoli was desperate to sign Osimhen as a replacement for Andre Milik, but Eurosport’s Manu Lonjon reports Osimhen has already turned down and so Dennis Emmanuel is the next target as a replacement for Andre Milik.
