Nigerian Cleric, Pastor Tunde Bakare of Citadel Global Community Church, has cleared the air over report credited to him about the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration’s poor performance.
Speaking on Arise TV on Thursday, the cleric denied ever saying that President Buhari has disappointed Nigerians, adding that media outlets misquoted him.
He opined that the publisher of Ovation Media, Bashorun Dele Momodu, could make the recorded version of the Instagram live interview available to the public.
According to him, those headlines in the newspapers were the creation of the newspapers themselves.
Setting the record straight, Bakare said he presumed that Nigerians are entitled to say they are disappointed because the Buhari-led administration could not meet all their expectations.
However, the cleric noted that the ruling administration’s failure to meet all Nigerians’ expectations does not mean that the administration has not done anything useful.
You will recall that Dele Momodu hosted Bakare on an Instagram live interview on Tuesday, where he reportedly said the President had disappointed Nigerians.
