Arsenal’s loanee Lucas Torreira has been liked by two top European clubs, and they are reportedly keeping a close eye on the player. According to reports Spanish La Liga side, Valencia and Italian Serie A side Lazio has indicated an interest in the player.
Lucas Torreira, currently on a season-long loan at Atletico Madrid might have his loan spell cut short. The 24-year-old has struggled for playing time since joining the La Liga side.
Reports have it that last month Lucas Torreira could be recalled by Arsenal prematurely due to insufficient playing time, but it could save the player a lot with the interest of the two clubs.
And it was stated earlier in January that Torino was set to reignite their pursuit for the player as well, after failing to sign him last summer. Torreira has also been linked with Serie A outfit Fiorentina, another club interested in signing him before joining Atletico.
According to Lucas, he said: “I have had some conversations with Lucas.” He also said: “He started the loan period well, now he lacks game-time. It can happen, the team is doing exceptionally well “They are first in the Spanish La Liga so when a team is winning it can be difficult to get in the line-up.
“But it’s a long season, I know Lucas’ character, he’s going to try to keep going and pushing. Let’s see what happens with him.”
