everyevery.ng Liverpool vs Manchester City
Liverpool will be playing with them all so as to cement their league title hopes. Good news for them as all their key players are in perfect form – Mohammed Salah, Fermino, and Saido Mane are ready ahead of the game. Another player to watch is Chembalane. He has scored three goals in his last two games and looks promising ahead of the league derby against Manchester City. Jurgen Klopp’s side would surely fancy its chances of a first English Premier League title in 30 years if it can extend the early season lead.
Klopp has routinely said – November and December could be the most difficult months in Liverpool’s season. Liverpool probably should have won the league title last season. A slight mistake and City took the league title from them.
Liverpool and City traditionally share a hatred for Manchester United (and Liverpool has a geographical rivalry with Everton). United’s drastic fading in recent years has dimmed the intensity of those battles. There is plenty of respect between coaches Jürgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola, though not a whole lot of fondness, which adds some extra spice.
Manchester City, on the other hand, has been in this position before and will not be panicking yet. A win at Anfield would pile the pressure on Liverpool and send a big message. But the most important thing for Pep Guardiola’s side is avoiding defeat. David Silva joined Rodri and Oleksandr Zinchenko as the latest casualty last weekend. The concerns over Ederson after he limped off midweek and Aymeric Laporte has been a huge problem for the team.

Despite the injuries, Pep Guardiola has said he has no intention to sign any player in January. Though it’s not clear whether that is his own call or the clubs. “I think we are not going to buy. The club didn’t introduce me to the players they thought could help us, so without that, it’s not going to happen.”
The city will also be coming to win in the game so it is going to be proper super Sunday clash. Sergio Aguero could return to the starting IX to burst the attack for the away team. Their defense has been shaky with injury hitting most of their key defenders.
Liverpool will be looking to capitalize on the collapse of the City defense to extend their winning run and chances of winning the title. Manchester City will also come all out because a loss in the supper Sunday clash will ruin their title hopes. Our predictions will be on both teams to score because the two teams have a good attack.
