The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has revealed what he described as his only regret as a serving Minister under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

Mohammed revealed that his only regret is that some Nigerians have failed to appreciate that the Buhari-led administration is doing so much with little resources.

Speaking at a Special Forum of the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja, he said with dwindling resources, no government in the history of Nigeria had implemented poverty alleviating programmes as the Buhari administration had done.

The Minister listed the programmes to include poverty alleviation programmes for women and vulnerable groups as well as the creation of jobs for the youths in the country.

Others are the School Feeding Programme adding that no fewer than 12.8 million pupils get one free meal a day.

According to him, between the year 2010 to 2014, crude oil was selling from 100 dollars to 140 dollars per barrel, but the highest the Buhari government have sold since inception is 60 dollars.

He added that despite the drop in revenues and security challenges, the Buhari-led administration has not retrenched one person but put in place programmes to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
